The best thing about the course is it’s entirely free and Phlearn provide all the assets needed to complete the course so all you have to do is learn! I also decided that with each new major skill I learn or technique I discover, I’ll be applying it to something Star Wars related which is usually what I do anyway! I thought I’d make that an official part of the review process. I am very excited for this course and I’ll be updating my progress here if you’re interested.

So this is the point I was making above about finding new things in Photoshop and learning different techniques. Prior to learning this, I had never used the Spot Healing Brush technique to alter an image. It’s such an easy thing to learn but such a powerful technique. He also briefly introduced an image of a dog in a room and showed how to use the tool bar and the Spot Healing Brush tool to remove part of the image. So I started his course today and I am on day two.ĭay One is an introduction to the Photoshop software including a brief outline on how to use the various panels in Photoshop and what you can do with those panels for different types of work. He is also one of the most prolific Adobe teachers out there today. I found Phlearn currently has a “30 Days of Photoshop” course which is presented by Aaron Nace who is the founder of Phlearn. I have found that each tutor has their own unique way of teaching a technique in Photoshop and I enjoy taking the best of those tutorials and applying them to my own work. There are so many different ways to learn things in Photoshop. I continue to do beginner’s tutorials simply because I like to refresh my skills. And to do that, I find good tutorials online and then review them. It is an endless journey of learning and growing.

As mentioned in many earlier posts, I am a Photoshop junkie! I love learning about Adobe’s products but Photoshop has always been my favourite software to use for photo editing.
